NEW PROCEDURES FOR RENEWALS AND TEMPORARY PERMITS

NEW PROCEDURE FOR RENEWALS STARTING ON MAY 1, 2011
Beginning with the May 1, 2011 renewal period, applicants will receive an Invitation to Renew their license in the mail advising them that it is time to renew their license. The Invitation will provide instructions to applicants on how to download the renewal application along with a list of documents/information that is to be submitted with the application as well as the appropriate fee and the effective/expiration dates for the
upcoming license period.

TEMPORARY RETAIL PERMITS - OCTOBER 13, 2010
New applicants at locations without a current liquor license may apply for a temporary permit to serve alcohol while their application in pending. The temporary permit is valid for 90 days, and may be extended for additional 30 day periods if necessary. This process is similar to the existing process for obtaining a temporary permit when purchasing an existing business with an active liquor license. Please note, temporary permits are NOT available for wine or liquor stores, applications that fall under the 500 Foot Law, or for applicants in New York City.
