WHAT LICENSEE’S NEED TO KNOW ABOUT FOOD CONCESSIONS, FINGERPRINTS AND PREGNANCY SIGNS

FOOD CONCESSION ARRANGEMENTS

All on-premises retail licensees are required to have food available for purchase and consumption by patrons. Where the licensee will not be preparing the food but will enter into an agreement with another to do so, the licensee or applicant shall notify the Authority that the licensee will be contracting with a food concessionaire. The licensee shall provide the Authority with the food concessionaire’s name, business address and certificate of authority, and the names and residence addresses of the concessionaire’s principals, as more particularly set forth in the attached revised petition for approval of food concession. Fingerprints shall not be required.

FINGERPRINTS – OUT-OF-STATE RESIDENT

I was informed by MorphoTrust USA recently that the Company will fingerprint individuals who are non-New York residents as long as they are fingerprinted in New York State.  MorphoTrust USA will scan the Applicant’s fingerprints in New York and forward the results to the NYS Liquor Authority.

PREGNANCY SIGNS

All New York City Licensee’s must post two (2) Pregnancy signs as well as the No Smoking and the Sale to Minor sign.  The SLA only gives out the NYS pregnancy sign in the package with the license.  There is actually a New York City Pregnancy sign that must also be posted.  Many Licensees do not even know about that sign and have been issued violations by the Liquor Authority Enforcement Unit or have been issued summonses by the NYPD.
